New at Wheatsville

It’s finally here: Julian Bakery’s Paleo Bread is now on our shelves! Haven’t heard about this hotly anticipated loaf yet? Well, read on for more about Paleo Bread, and everything that’s new at Wheatsville this week!

Following a Paleo diet entails cutting out all grains and eating what native hunters and gatherers ate many years ago. It’s a food plan based on lean meats, seafood, nuts, fruits, and fresh vegetables, and has quickly found popularity amongst the gluten-free and CrossFit crowds. Julian Bakery, producer of the popular Smart Carb and Carb Zero Breads, has created two versions of Paleo Bread, which meet the requirements of the Paleo diet. Both breads are healthful, low calorie, gluten free and grain free. The Almond and Coconut varieties are equally tasty and both offer their own unique benefits. These breads provide the protein and fiber your body needs to satisfy hunger while helping your body to perform at its peak, with as few as 1 net carb per slice and 9 grams of protein (Almond Version).

The Almond loaf contains six simple ingredients: Purified Water, Blanched Almonds, Egg Whites, Psyllium, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, and a pinch of Baking Soda. The Coconut loaf is the first starch-free bread of its kind on the market, consisting of Purified Water, Organic Coconut Flour, Egg Whites, Psyllium, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, and Baking Soda. Both can be found in the frozen department. 24oz, Reg. $7.99

One jar for the kids, one to hide away for the grown-ups! After you discover tasty Biscoff Spread, you'll want to lay away a steady supply! Biscoff spread is a peanut butter-like spread made of 57% Speculaas cookies. Speculaas are buttery brown sugar and spice-flavored cookies that are similar to gingersnaps and are popular in Belgium (and elsewhere). The spread is made of Speculaas cookies (Biscoff brand, which are widely available) that are turned into a thick spread with the addition of sugar, vegetable oil and other all natural ingredients. The spread is smooth and creamy, with a deep brown sugar, butter and spice flavor to it. In other words, it is a spreadable cookie and it is delicious! Biscoff spread is also vegan.14oz, Reg. $4.99
