Fresh in the Deli

Our first Fresh in the Deli treat for November is Pumpkin Bars, courtesy of North Coast Co-op in Arcata, California. Favorite fall flavors of pumpkin, vanilla and cinnamon are baked into yummy snack cakes topped with cream cheese icing. Grab one for dessert or a sweet breakfast treat!

 

Our second Fresh in the Deli dish, perfect for the season, is hearty, vegan Mushroom Pate from our friends at Seward Co-op Grocery and Deli in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This earthy, rustic pate features a traditional combination of caramelized onions and mushrooms blended with toasted walnuts and roasted garlic. The perfect for the holiday appetizer, serve it with crostini or baguette slices.

 

Owners can now save big on our famed Popcorn Tofu Po’Boy freshly made at our Deli Counter – crunchy, savory batter-dipped and deep-fried tofu nuggets are stuffed inside a local Sweetish Hill hoagie roll with a drizzle of our cashew-tamari dressing, and loaded with your choice of veggies! This award-winning bad boy – also our top-selling sandwich! – is on sale for owners at just $5.49, reg. $6.49 each!

 

Also on owner special is our delicious Walnut Pecan Pate, $9.99/lb, reg. $11.99! This thick and savory vegan dip is made by blending organic pecans and walnuts with tofu, tamari and cider vinegar to create the perfect spread for crackers or bread. Grab some for a fridge favorite you don’t wanna miss!

 

Our new Featured Salsa is the staff favorite Sweet Mango Fire! Sweetness from fresh apples and mangoes combines with the heat of spicy habanero peppers to create a beautiful and irresistible salsa that will keep your chips dippin’ until the end!

 

Ready for breakfast? On sale this month for owners are our Bakery’s homemade, buttery Buttermilk Scones in all sorts of delicious flavors, just $1.49, reg. $1.99 each! From sweet Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Mango to savory Jalapeno Cheddar and Blue Cheese, you’ll find a different one to suit your tastes every day!

 

Celebrate the change of seasons, and this lovely autumn weather, with our new line of seasonal beverages from the Deli Counter! Pumpkin Pie Latte, ToffeeNut Latte, Peanut Butter Cup Latte and Hot Caramel Macchiato are our new coffee drinks for fall, all made to order with organic, fair-trade espresso! Get one of these delicious beverages with your choice of milk, hot and steamy, to start your chilly morning off right!

 

Get in the holiday spirit with our sweet and spicy Pumpkin Pie Smoothie for just $4.99 each! Organic apple juice, graham crackers and cinnamon are blended with a pumpkin base and your choice of milk to create a frozen drink that tastes just like pumpkin pie! Now, even when you’re running late, you can stop in for a super-quick and super-tasty breakfast with no wait! Grab a vegan Black Bean, Potato & Sausage Taco, a vegetarian Egg, Potato & Cheese Taco, or a meat-lovers mainstay Bacon & Egg Taco on a wheat tortilla with a side of Salsa to start your morning right!

For just $1.99 a cup, our organic, vegan Steel-Cut Oatmeal rounds out the offerings with a hearty, nutty bite, and an abundance of toppings are available to make it just how you like it: organic butter, maple syrup, agave nectar, local honey, coconut milk, cow’s milk, brown sugar, raisins, dried cranberries, sliced almonds, cinnamon and more!
